Dearborn Christian School

Another important aspect of our Christ-centered education at Dearborn Christian School is our extracurricular activities. With the whole mind and body perspective, Dearborn Christian School offers these extras to enhance and enrich every student's educational experience.

Music and art help develop better-rounded, successful students.  In addition to the high quality music and art programs that are part of the curriculum, Dearborn Christian School offers a variety of fine arts enrichment activities.

Athletics help develop a healthy body and a healthy mind.  Our students have an opportunity to participate in soccer and basketball.  Our coaches are parents and community leaders who love the sport they coach, while modeling Christ-like attitudes in teaching the game.  It is a wonderful opportunity to see children play who might otherwise not get a chance to develop athletic skills.

Dearborn Christian provides opportunities for students to grow closer as a school community. A special effort is made to integrate the different grades in order to promote caring for others and friendships. Younger students look up to their older school mates as positive Christian role models, while older students display kind and compassionate attitudes that impact and influence their younger peers. As an extension and addition to the curriculum, DCS provides many activities in which students of all ages can learn and grow together.

Throughout the school year, DCS teachers may choose a hands-on approach to learning on their various field-trips. These field-trips allow students to get a better grasp on the information while having fun learning!
